1. Install official ZKTeco software for your device family.
2. Discover the device over LAN/USB, log in as admin.

Phase 1: Identification (Critical)

Before downloading anything, you must identify the exact hardware version.

• Menu Check: Go to the device Menu > Options > System Info > Firmware Version.
• Serial Number: Check the sticker on the back of the device. Note the "Hardware Version" (e.g., Ver 1.0, Ver 2.0).
• Review Finding: Many users fail here. If you install Ver 2.0 firmware on a Ver 1.0 device, the boot loop is often unrecoverable without JTAG hardware intervention.
