Vaulty is a popular Android app used to hide photos, videos, and other private files behind a PIN or password. While Vaulty itself is an Android-only app, you can use it with a PC in two main ways: run Vaulty inside an Android emulator on your computer, or transfer protected files between your phone and PC securely. This post explains both approaches, step-by-step setup, typical workflows, pros/cons, and tips for keeping your private files safe.
The Concept: Since users primarily take photos on their phones, a PC version shouldn't just be a separate vault; it should be a secure extension of the mobile experience. This feature allows users to manage their private media on a large screen while maintaining the strict security protocols of the mobile app.

Since a dedicated PC app is pending, users can manage Vaulty content on a computer through the following methods: Manual File Management
: You can manually back up or transfer your vault by connecting your phone to a PC via USB. All hidden files are stored on your device in the Documents/Vaulty/data WebCatalog Desktop : Third-party tools like WebCatalog vaulty on pc

The mobile versions provide the standard security features expected for the upcoming desktop release: Intruder Alerts

Abstract
With the proliferation of sensitive digital assets—ranging from personal photographs to cryptographic keys—users increasingly require robust confidentiality tools beyond mobile devices. While “Vaulty” has established itself as a popular mobile solution for discreet file storage, its absence on personal computers (PCs) leaves a critical gap in cross-platform data protection. This paper proposes a conceptual framework for “Vaulty on PC,” analyzing security requirements, user experience design, threat models, and potential integration with existing PC operating systems. We argue that a dedicated PC vault application, incorporating features such as plausible deniability, hardware-backed encryption, and decoy storage, can significantly enhance personal data sovereignty.
