When you study music on high school, college, music conservatory, you usually have to do ear training. Some of the exercises, like sight singing, is easy to do alone. But often you have to be at least two people, one making questions, the other answering.
This is ok, as long as both have time to do it. And if you sit in your room, practicing your instrument many hours a day, it can be nice to see other people :-) But my experience when I got my education, was that most people were very busy and that it was difficult to practise regularly. And to get really good results, you should practise a little almost every day. Not just a session before your next ear training lesson.
GNU Solfege tries to help out with this. With Solfege you can practise the more simple and mechanical exercises without the need to get others to help you. Just don't forget that this program only touches a part of the subject.

As you emerge from the wreckage, you see a rugged and beautiful landscape stretching out before you. The sound of rushing water, howling wind, and chirping birds fills the air. You know you need to act fast to stay alive.

You look around and see other contestants, all with determined expressions, ready to start the race. You notice a few landmarks: a dense forest to the north, a steep cliff to the east, and a fast-flowing river to the west.
The Objective
Your objective is to collect three essential resources: food, water, and shelter. These resources will help you sustain yourself throughout the race and protect you from the island's dangers. You'll need to explore the island, gather resources, and craft tools to aid you in your survival.

Similar to roguelike mechanics, these games often reward failure with permanent upgrades, encouraging a cycle of incremental improvement that is highly addictive in short, episodic bursts. Psychological and Social Function
Beyond entertainment, these games fulfill a specific psychological role within restricted environments. They offer a "stress-free" mental break, providing a brief cognitive reset between periods of intense focus. Here’s a feature set for Unblocked Games G Plus: Survival Race, designed to highlight its core appeal for players accessing it in restricted environments (e.g., schools or workplaces):
Survival Race.💡 If the game doesn’t load: Enable pop-ups temporarily or try a different mirror.
What elevates Survival Race above a simple reflex test is its power-up system. You can collect shields to absorb hits, magnets to draw in coins, or nitro boosts to speed ahead. The catch is that you cannot use them all at once. A common mistake for new players is using a shield the moment they feel scared, only to lack it when a truly unavoidable crash appears. Learning to hold a resource for the right moment—delaying gratification—is a fundamental life skill. The game teaches that in high-pressure environments, your most valuable asset is not speed, but the judgment to know when to act.
In the G Plus version, you start with a rust-bucket called the "Scrappy." Every 250m, you return to the garage (unless you choose "Endless Mode"). Here is the optimal upgrade path:
| Upgrade | Cost | Effect | Priority | | :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Tires (Grip) | 300 coins | Reduces slide on oil/ice patches | Medium | | Armor Plating | 500 coins | +40% health | Highest | | Engine Boost | 700 coins | +15% top speed | Low (speed kills) | | Weapon Rack | 1000 coins | Unlocks rockets & mines | Medium-High | | Self-Repair | 2000 coins | Passive 1 HP/sec regen above 50% health | God Tier |
Pro Tip: Do not buy Engine Boost until you have maxed Armor. Faster speed means harder collisions. You will literally kill yourself by driving into a wall at mach speed.
