Performance & Stability Notes
- The mod is large (10+ GB). Expect longer turn times (especially post-1220).
- Attila is poorly optimized for modern multi-core CPUs—lower unit detail and shadows if you experience lag.
- Some factions lack full mission chains or unique events, but the mod is actively updated (last major update: December 2024).

Step 3: Installation Instructions (Manual)
- Download the .rar archive from the ModDB link above.
- Extract the contents using 7-Zip or WinRAR.
- Locate your Attila data folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Attila\data - Copy the extracted files into the
datafolder. You will see files like:mk1212_campaign.packmk1212_models_01.pack,mk1212_models_02.pack, etc.mk1212_media.packmk1212_music.packmk1212_ui.pack
- Do not place these inside a subfolder. They must sit directly inside the
datafolder alongside Attila’s original.packfiles.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
| Issue | Solution |
|--------|-----------|
| Game crashes on startup | You missed a .pack file or have conflicting mods. Disable all other mods. |
| Campaign map has missing textures | Verify your Attila game files via Steam, then re-copy the mod files. |
| Units are silver or invisible | The models pack files are not correctly installed or are corrupted. Re-download. |
| No sound or music | Ensure mk1212_music.pack is in the data folder and enabled. |
| Mongols don’t appear | They spawn around turn 80–100. If not, check your campaign difficulty – they are less aggressive on Easy. |
