Directed by Heo Myung-haeng, the film moves the setting from the streets of Korea (and Vietnam, in previous installments) to the eerie, digitized world of illegal online gambling. The antagonist this time is Baek Chang-ki (played with terrifying coldness by Kim Mu-yeol), a former mercenary who runs a ruthless online gambling organization. When an app developer is murdered, Detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) and his team dive into a world where criminals hide behind IP addresses and cryptocurrency.
While the plot sounds complex, the narrative engine is simple: bad guys hurt people, and Ma Seok-do hurts them back harder. The "Punishment" in the title is literal. The film strips away some of the glossiness of previous entries, opting for a darker, more grounded tone that highlights the brutality of the crimes—and the subsequent brutality of the punishment.

The Hindi dubbing for The Roundup: Punishment surprisingly works well. The voice actors have captured the gruff, tired, yet explosive nature of Don Lee. The punchlines land better in Hindi, and the action scenes feel even more intense when you don't have to read subtitles.
