• Component-Level Building: You don’t just buy a "Stage 2 Engine." You buy a cylinder head, valves, springs, camshafts, pistons, connecting rods, and a crankshaft. If the compression ratio is wrong, the engine pings. If the redline is too high, the rods exit the oil pan.
• The Dyno: You cannot guess your horsepower. You must take the car to a dyno, run it, and read the torque curves.
• Legal vs. Illegal: You can race legally on drag strips or go "street legal" (rolling starts on highways) where police chase you.
