11. Export & Manufacturing Output

• Common exports: STEP/IGES for CNC, STL for 3D printing, DXF for cutting patterns.
• CNC nesting: Tools → Nesting (flatten panels and export DXF).
• Export settings: Ensure correct units, tessellation tolerance for STL.

2.1 Hull Surface Modeller (HSM)

The heart of the program. HSM in 5.1 allows you to:

• Create surfaces from offset tables, lines plans, or scanned point clouds.
• Apply automatic fairing using a least-squares B-spline method.
• Perform real-time curvature analysis (zebra stripes and Gaussian curvature).

4. Import & Reference Geometry

• Supported imports: STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, OBJ, STL.
• File → Import → choose format. For DXF/DWG, use 2D plan as reference; scale using Measure → Scale.
