7. How to Verify Successful Update

Go to:
Settings → About Phone → Android Version should show 7.1.1

The phone is stuck on the boot logo (Bootloop)

Cause: The update clashed with a rooted system.
Fix: Boot into Recovery Mode (Power + Volume Down). Select "Wipe cache partition." Do not wipe data unless necessary. Then reboot.

Method 1: OTA Update (Recommended)

Go to Settings → System Updates
Tap Check for Updates
If update is available, tap Download (approx. 1.2GB)
Install and reboot

Note: Updates roll out in phases. If no update shows, wait a few days or try Method 2.

2. Bundled Notifications

Gone are the days of a cluttered notification shade. Nougat groups notifications by app. You can expand a single notification to see multiple messages or bundle them with a single swipe.

Manual Download (If OTA no longer shows)

Visit the official Oppo Community website or Oppo Support page for your region
Search for "Oppo F3 firmware" or "CPH1609" (model number)
Download the full OTA package (if still hosted)
Install via Stock Recovery (not custom recovery)

Post-install verification

Settings > About Phone: confirm Android version 7.1.1 and correct ColorOS build.
Check IMEI and network connectivity.
Verify Google Play services and sign-in.
Run basic tests: calls, SMS, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, camera, sensors.
