Hello everyone!
It’s time to pack your sunscreen (and maybe something a little less innocent), because May’s Summer Vacation v0.04.3 is officially out!
This update focuses on expanding the mid-game content loop and adds more reactive dialogue based on your previous choices. A huge thank you to everyone who reported bugs in v0.04.2 – your feedback has been invaluable. May-s Summer Vacation -v0.04.3- -Otchakun-

- System: Optimized save/load times (reduced by 15%).
Chapter 7: Comparing to Similar Indie Titles
To understand May’s Summer Vacation, one should play:
- Yukizakura’s Long Weekend – Another Ren’Py game about a girl in a coastal town.
- A Summer’s End – Hong Kong 1986 – Higher budget, but shares nostalgic, character-driven summer themes.
- Sweet Fuse: At Your Side – If the mystery elements intensify in later versions.
If you like slice-of-life with mild puzzles and emotional payoffs, this project is worth tracking. Title: May’s Summer Vacation – v0
3. Visuals and Art Style
Otchakun has established a distinct visual identity, and May’s Summer Vacation generally aligns with the developer's previous works (such as Otome Domain or similar projects, stylistically).
- Character Design: May is designed with the "moe" aesthetic in mind—cute, expressive, and fitting the rural summer vibe. The sprite work is standard RPG Maker fare but is elevated by high-quality character busts and event artwork.
- The "H" Content: The adult scenes are the primary draw for the target audience. The artwork is detailed, though the quantity in v0.04.3 is naturally limited compared to a finished game. The scenes often involve themes of exposure, voyeurism, and mild corruption, fitting the "innocent girl in a new environment" trope.
- Environments: The maps are decently designed. The rural setting allows for varied biomes: a dense forest, a serene river, a hot spring, and the town center. The use of lighting effects (for evening/night cycles) adds atmosphere to the otherwise standard tilesets.

v0.04.3 Update Overview
This version is generally considered a "maintenance" or "content expansion" update following the initial v0.04 release. It typically focuses on bug fixes, polishing existing scenes, and adding a few new interactions or extending the narrative arc involving the protagonist, May, and her summer activities.
