Why ManyVideos (ManyVids) Became the Perfect Home
For a video content creator like Vince May, choosing the right platform is 80% of the battle. Mainstream tube sites offer volume but no revenue security. Subscription sites require massive pre-existing fanbases. ManyVids, however, operates on a hybrid model: creators sell individual clips (MV Spots), receive tips, and sell physical items.
VMVideo thrived here for three reasons:
- The Storefront Aesthetic: ManyVids allows creators to curate "bundles." May organized his VMVideo library by genre, camera model (e.g., 4K specific), and runtime. This made browsing intuitive.
- The "MV Live" Integration: While primarily a pre-recorded content creator, May utilized ManyVids’ live streaming feature to drive sales for his older catalog, often using polls to decide which VMVideo classic to replay.
- The Tip Vibe: Vince May reportedly gamified his tip menu, offering "director’s commentary" tracks for top tippers on his VMVideo releases.
The Future of VMVideo
As of 2025, ManyVids is pushing into virtual reality and interactive narratives. Industry insiders suggest that VMVideo is currently testing stereoscopic 3D rigs. If Vince May successfully translates his cinematic eye into VR, his career as a video content creator may see its most profitable chapter yet.
Furthermore, May is rumored to be launching a "VMVideo Academy"—a series of $99 masterclasses sold directly on ManyVids teaching lighting, editing, and the psychology of the MV customer.
Lesson 5: Separate the Persona from the Person
A long career requires mental health boundaries. Vince May is a character. The person behind the camera must log off. VMVideo likely handles posting and DMs, allowing the performer to perform and the manager to manage.
2. VMVideo: The Production Studio Ethos
VMVideo appears to be either a production label or a collaborative network. In the context of VMVideo Vince May, this represents the shift from amateur "bedroom content" to professional-grade production. VMVideo implies:
- Consistent lighting, audio, and 4K resolution.
- Scripted scenarios versus improvised solo acts.
- A brand promise to the consumer: You are buying a premium experience.

Great set of pictures Matthew. I love the colour ones in particular but all are excellent. You’ve really nailed the lighting and composition.
Thanks Jezza, yes I plan to try to use some colour film on the next visit to capture more colour images but sometimes black and white just suits the situation better. Many thanks!

You do good work. I personally like the interaction between a rangefinder camera and a live model moreso than a DSLR type camera, which somehow is between us. Of course, the chat between you and the model makes the image come alive. The one thing no one sees is the interaction. Carry on.
Thanks Tom, yes agree RF cameras block the face less for interactions. Agree it’s the chat that makes shoots a success or not. Cheers!
