Problem 2: “No Response from Controller”

• Cause: Car is CAN-Bus only (typically 2006+ VW/Audi).
• Fix: KKL 409.1 cannot communicate with CAN vehicles. You need a HEX-USB+CAN cable.
• Workaround: Some 2005-2006 models have mixed K-line/CAN – try the “KWP2000” protocol in VCDS-Lite.

First Connection to Your Car

1. Turn car ignition ON (engine off).
2. Plug KKL cable into OBD-II port (under dashboard).
3. In VCDS-Lite, click Select Control Module → 01-Engine.
4. If successful, you will see the ECU part number and fault codes.
