KJ33 Router Setup

Part 4: Step-by-Step Configuration of the KJ33 Router

Once logged in, you will see a basic, text-heavy interface (often based on the Ralink or Mediatek chipset). Here is how to configure key settings.

Problem 1: Internet Light is Red/Off

  • Cause: No signal from modem.
  • Fix: Power cycle: Unplug KJ33 → Unplug modem → Wait 2 minutes → Plug modem → Wait 1 minute → Plug KJ33.
  • Still red? Connect a PC directly to the modem. If that works, your KJ33’s WAN port may be dead.

Default Login Credentials

| Parameter | Value | | :--- | :--- | | Default IP Address | 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 | | Username | admin | | Password | admin or password (or blank) | kj33 router setup

Note: If these don’t work, check the sticker on the bottom of the router. Many KJ33 units have unique passwords printed there. KJ33 Router Setup Part 4: Step-by-Step Configuration of

Problem 2: Wi-Fi Drops Every Few Minutes

  • Cause: Channel interference or overheating.
  • Fix: Change 2.4GHz channel to 1,6, or 11 (never “Auto”). Also, ensure the router isn’t on a carpet—raise it 1 inch for airflow.

Step 3: Load & Run a Job

  1. From main menu: File → USB → select your G-code file.
  2. Simulate (recommended) – shows toolpath on screen.
  3. Set Origin – move spindle to workpiece corner → press Set XY0.
  4. Set Z-zero – lower bit until it barely touches material → press Set Z0.
  5. Press Start → job begins.

Step B: Clone MAC Address (If ISP is locking you out)

Some ISPs lock your internet to the MAC address of your old router. In the KJ33’s Network > MAC Clone section, click "Clone MAC from PC" . This copies your computer’s MAC address to the router. Save and reboot. Cause: No signal from modem

Turn Off WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

WPS has known exploits. Go to Wireless > WPS and set "Disable WPS" . It’s a convenience hack at the cost of security.

Step to Open Admin Page

  2. Type the default gateway IP address. Common values for KJ33:
