D. Tips Menyusun Soal Bahasa Inggris yang Baik

Agar kartu soal yang dibuat berkualitas tinggi, perhatikan hal-hal berikut:

Stimulus yang Jelas: Pastikan teks reading (stimulus) autentik atau semi-autentik dan sesuai level kognitif siswa kelas XII. Hindari teks yang terlalu singkat jika soal meminta analisis mendalam.
Pengecoh (Distractor) yang Homogen: Untuk soal pilihan ganda, buatlah pengecoh (jawaban salah) yang tampak masuk akal agar siswa benar-benar harus berpikir, bukan hanya menebak.
Pedoman Bahasa: Pastikan tata bahasa (Grammar) dalam soal benar. Soal Bahasa Inggris tidak boleh memiliki grammatical error itu sendiri.
Keseimbangan Level: Jangan membuat semua soal hanya level C1 (menghafal). Sertakan soal C4 atau C5 (menganalisis/mengevaluasi) untuk mengukur Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), terutama menghadapi UTN (Ujian Tengah Semester) atau ujian sekolah.
