6. Uninstalling / Reinstalling
- Run
I7561_Uninstaller.exefrom the original driver folder. - Or use Windows → Apps & Features → “ICP DAS I-7561 Driver”.
- Important: After uninstall, reboot before reinstalling.
5. Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Issue: The device appears in Device Manager with a yellow warning triangle.
- Solution: This indicates a driver mismatch. Uninstall the device from Device Manager, unplug the USB, and run the FTDI cleaner utility or reinstall the FTDI driver manually by selecting "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer."
- Issue: Cannot communicate with the end device.
- Solution: Check the DIP Switches on the I-7561 unit. The DIP switches control whether the unit is in RS-232, RS-485 2-wire, or RS-485 4-wire mode. If the switch configuration does not match your serial device's wiring, no data will transfer, regardless of the driver status.
