4. Disguises Are Your Best Friend, But Not Infallible

• Enforcers (NPCs with a white dot above their head in Instinct) can see through your disguise. Avoid them.
• Trespassing zones will get you escorted out or attacked. Act natural and leave if caught.
• Changing disguises often is safer than sticking to one risky outfit.

Best disguises per mission type:

• Security guard — access most areas, carry weapons openly.
• Waiter/chef — poison food/drinks easily.
• Technician — sabotage devices, access control rooms.

Gameplay Mechanics: The Peak of the Trilogy

Hitman 3 doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it polishes every spoke. The core loop remains: infiltrate, disguise, and eliminate. However, several key improvements make this the best-playing entry.

• The Camera: A new multi-tool tool that can hack devices, reveal electronic trails, and zoom for reconnaissance. It replaces the old clumsy phone hacks.
• Shortcuts: Once you unlock a door or ladder from the inside, it remains unlocked for future playthroughs. This encourages replayability and lets veterans skip tedious routes.
• Gloom and Tall Grass: For the first time in the trilogy, hiding in tall grass or shadows is viable. This reduces the over-reliance on disguises, offering a more traditional stealth option.
• VR Support (PC/PS VR): At launch, PS VR was a novelty. Later updates added PC VR, allowing you to strangle targets with your own hands. It is janky but transformative.

2. Dartmoor (Death in the Family)

Arguably the most innovative mission in the trilogy. Dartmoor is a gothic English manor hiding a murder mystery. But here’s the twist: Your target isn't just the obvious villain; you have to solve the mystery of who killed the family patriarch. You can literally play detective, accusing the correct sibling during a dramatic family gathering. It is Clue meets John Wick, and it is brilliant.

2. Dartmoor (Death in the Family)

This is the most unique map in the trilogy. Dartmoor is a classic English manor murder mystery. For the first time, Hitman 3 allows you to play as a detective. You can solve the murder of the family patriarch without firing a shot, identifying the killer in a dramatic drawing-room confrontation. It is a love letter to Agatha Christie fans.
