Subject: HD Audio Rush 5.1 Decoder — Patched Firmware Operation Manual
Document Version: 2.4 (Unofficial)

Status: User Modified / Community Patched
Step 3: The "Secret Menu" Configuration
This is where the "Patched Manual" differs most drastically from the original documentation. The patch unlocks a hidden engineering menu that allows you to correct the infamous latency issues.
Accessing the Menu:
Press Menu, then quickly press 1 > 9 > 9 > 9. The screen will flicker and display "Engineering Mode."
Critical Settings to Adjust:
- Audio Delay Compensation: The original units had a fixed 40ms delay. The patched firmware allows you to set this to
0ms.
- Recommendation: Set to 0ms for modern TVs that handle their own sync, or leave at 20ms for older plasma displays.
- DAC Lock Speed: Change from "Slow" to "Fast." This fixes the audio cut-outs when switching tracks on streaming devices like Apple TV or Roku.
- LFE Rolloff: The patched firmware fixes a bug where the subwoofer channel was bleeding into the surrounds. Ensure this is set to
80Hz (THX standard) rather than the factory default of 120Hz.
3. If You Already Have a Corrupted/Encrypted Manual
- Do not run random “patchers” or executables.
- Try opening the file with a different PDF reader or text editor.
- Use online virus scanners (VirusTotal) on any patch file before use.
4.2 Bypass Mode (Hotkey)
A new hidden feature in the patched firmware allows for zero-latency monitoring.
- To Toggle: Press Mute + Volume Up simultaneously on the remote.
- Indicator: The LED ring will turn Purple.
- Function: This bypasses all internal DSP (Equalizer, Surround Simulation, Bass Boost) and outputs raw line-level audio. Essential for competitive gaming or critical listening.
