Etap Library Install 🆕 Working
This feature turns etap from a simple build script into a proper package manager for embedded development.
Phase C: Installing Manufacturer Libraries (Optional but Recommended)
The default standard library has generic components. To get real-world data: etap library install
- Download the manufacturer pack from the ETAP portal (usually a
.zipfile). - Extract to
C:\ETAP 20xx\Libraries\ManLibs\. - In ETAP, go to
Options > Libraries > Configure. - Click "Add New Library" and point to the extracted
.xmlor.mdbfile. - Pro tip: The SKM to ETAP conversion tool also relies on this library structure.
Installation Steps
- Download the ETAP Library: Visit the official OTI (Open Technology International) website and download the ETAP library installation package.
- Extract the Installation Package: Extract the downloaded package to a temporary folder on your computer.
- Run the Installation Executable: Navigate to the extracted folder and run the installation executable (usually named
ETAP_Library_Installer.exe). - Follow the Installation Wizard: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

Error 2: "Could not find file 'C:\ETAP\Library\ETAPS_StdLib.mdb'"
- Cause: Antivirus (specifically McAfee or SentinelOne) quarantined the
.mdbfile during install. - Fix:
- Restore the file from quarantine.
- Add the entire
C:\ETAP 20xxfolder to the Antivirus exclusion list. - Re-run the Library Registration Utility.
