The old CD model meant you paid $500 for an upgrade disc when the IBC or ASCE 7 updated. With the new license, the code books update instantly. When ASCE 7-22 becomes mandatory, your software updates that morning.
Cause: You bought a Node-Locked license by accident (rare now, but available for Government air-gapped computers). Solution: You cannot move a node-locked license. You must buy a "Floating Network License" or return the node-locked within 48 hours.
