Server Compatibility & Ethics

Before joining a public server with your CS-SO -1.0 Skin Pack, read the server’s rules. Most private servers (e.g., Zombie Escape or Deathrun) allow custom skins. However, competitive 5v5 servers often run sv_pure 2, which forces default textures.

To bypass this for casual play, rename your custom .vtf files to match the default names (e.g., ak47.vtf instead of ak47_fancy.vtf). This tricks the client but not the server—use at your own risk.
