⚠️ Critical Disclaimer – Please Read First
There is no official, legitimate Android port of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare from Activision.
The game was originally released for Windows, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and Nintendo DS — not for Android.
Any “APK + OBB” files you find online are unofficial, fan-made, or emulated versions (usually via ExaGear, Winlator, or Mobox). These require manual setup, a powerful device, and come with security risks.
✅ What you can play on Android:
- Call of Duty: Mobile (official, free) – includes some CoD4 maps (Crash, Crossfire, etc.) and characters.
- Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile (official).
- Emulated CoD4 via PC emulators (advanced users only).
Method 3: Windows Emulation (ExaGear / Winlator) – Advanced Users
For those who want the full PC version with high-resolution textures and shaders, Windows emulators on Android have matured. Winlator is the current verified champion.
What you need:
- Dolphin Emulator from the official website or Play Store (verified).
- A CoD4 Wii ROM (RVME01 – Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare [USA]) – you must dump this yourself from your original disc using a Wii and CleanRip. No ROM links are provided here.
- A powerful phone: Snapdragon 845 or higher (855+ recommended for full speed).
Part B: Transfer the COD4 Game Files (The OBB Alternative)
- On your PC, locate your legitimate copy of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
- Copy the entire game folder (e.g.,
C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare) to a USB drive or directly to your Android device via USB cable. - On your Android, paste this folder into Internal Storage > Downloads > COD4.
- Do not place it in Android/obb – that is for native Android games only.
What Are These APK + OBB Files?
If you see a download labeled Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare APK + OBB, it is almost certainly one of three things:
- A fake/malware-ridden file – Named to trick you. No actual game data.
- An unofficial Exagear or Winlator wrapper – Uses Windows emulation to run the PC version extremely poorly on high-end phones.
- A modified version of Call of Duty: Mobile or another FPS – Reskinned and renamed to mislead.
There is no verified, safe, standalone Android port of CoD4.
