Bleach Soul Carnival 2 English Patch May 2026
Report: Bleach: Soul Carnival 2 English Patch
3.2 Patch Features
- Full menu translation (items, skills, Soul Tickets, equipment)
- Story dialogue translation (all cutscenes and mission briefings)
- In-game text (battle prompts, system messages, shop, fusion)
- Main story + side content translated (excluding some minor NPC flavor text in very early versions)
- Compatible with both physical UMD dumps and digital PSP backups (ISO/CSO)
Step 3: Play the Game
- On Original PSP / PS Vita (Adrenaline): Copy the new patched ISO to your
ISOfolder on your memory stick. You must have a custom firmware (CFW) installed to play backups. - On PC (PPSSPP Emulator): Simply open the patched ISO in PPSSPP. It works flawlessly out of the box. You can upscale the resolution to 4K, making the 2D sprites look stunning.
Warning: Do not apply the patch to a pre-patched ISO found on ROM sites. Those often contain bugs, corrupted text, or malware. Always patch a clean ISO yourself.
Step 1: Acquire the Necessary Files
You will need three things:
- A clean, unmodified ISO file of Bleach: Soul Carnival 2 (Japan region). The file size should be roughly 1.2GB.
- The English Patch (XDelta file). As of this writing, the most complete version is v1.2 or v2.0 from the original team (available via fan translation forums like GBAtemp or Romhacking.net—do not download from suspicious ad-filled sites).
- XDelta UI (Patch Utility) – A small program that applies the patch to the ISO.
Troubleshooting & Tips
- "Data Corrupted" Error: This usually means the firmware on your PSP is not hacked/custom. Ensure CFW is active.
- Black Screen on Boot: If the game crashes immediately, ensure the ISO was patched correctly. Try re-downloading the original ISO and patching it again. Also, verify your PSP region settings (though usually not an issue for patched games).
- Slowdowns: Soul Carnival 2 is a demanding game. If you experience slowdowns:
- Press
Selectwhile on the PSP main menu to open the Recovery Menu / VSH Menu. - Change the CPU Clock XMB and CPU Clock Game to
333/166. This overclocks the PSP slightly for smoother gameplay.
- Press
- Saving: You cannot load Japanese saves onto the English patched version. You must start a New Game.
2.4 What is NOT translated?
Due to technical limitations of the PSP’s ROM structure, a few elements are often left in Japanese or handled differently: Bleach Soul Carnival 2 English Patch
- Some pre-rendered cutscene videos: If the FMV has baked-in Japanese text, it cannot be edited without re-encoding the video (which breaks file signatures). Most patches leave these untouched.
- Voice acting: The patch does not (and cannot) change voice lines. Characters still speak Japanese. The patch only changes subtitles and text.
Key Features of the Patch:
