StudioTax is compatible with the following Windows versions: 10 and 11.
Unfortunately starting with StudioTax 2024 and due to technical constrains, the following Windows versions 7, 8 and 8.1 can no longer be supported.

StudioTax 2024 for Windows

Note that you do not need to uninstall StudioTax 2023 or previous StudioTax versions. All StudioTax versions can be installed at the same time.

Studiotax is published using 2 file formats: The .EXE file is the program that installs StudioTax on your computer. The .ZIP file is an archive of the same .EXE program. You only need to download one of the files.

Solution 5: Repair Filesystem Corruption

If you delete files but free space doesn’t increase, the filesystem may be corrupted. Remount read-only, run fsck (if Linux):

umount /mnt/ufdisk
fsck /dev/ufdisk
mount /mnt/ufdisk

For proprietary RTOS, use the manufacturer’s flash repair utility.

Part 3: The Solution – The "Mass Production Tool" Method

To fix an AU87101A controller, you cannot use standard software. You must use a specialized low-level utility known as a Mass Production Tool (MPTool). This software communicates directly with the Alcor controller to "re-flash" the firmware and re-partition the memory. au87101a ufdisk full

Step 5 — Low-level format / controller repair (when standard format fails)

If formatting fails or reported capacity is wrong:

  1. Use vendor/third-party tools to reinitialize controller:
    • ChipGenius or Flash Drive Info tools to identify controller/firmware (Windows).
  2. Search for a specific firmware reprogramming or mass production (MP) tool for controller chipset (requires exact controller ID).
  3. Use HDD Low Level Format Tool or USB Formatting Tool to zero the drive, then repartition. Warning: MP tools can permanently brick the device if wrong firmware used. Proceed only if comfortable.

Step 1 – Identify the exact ufdisk command syntax

Many ufdisk versions have a help option. Try: For proprietary RTOS, use the manufacturer’s flash repair

ufdisk -h
ufdisk --help
ufdisk -?

If the command is not in $PATH, look for it in /usr/sbin, /opt/bin, or vendor‑specific directories like /flash/util.
